This smoothie recipe is contributed by a dear patient of mine☺ and is the perfect delicious anti-inflammatory, phytonutrient rich smoothie!

This recipe is for one full meal or 2 snacks.  All ingredients are organic.

Chocolate Berry Smoothie

 

  • 3/4 cup frozen berries
  • 1/2 cup tightly packed arugula
  • 1/2 cup tightly packed baby kale
  • 1 cup tightly packed spinach
  • 2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (or other protein powder)
  • 1/4 inch fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp dark unsweetened cocoa powder ()
  • 1/4 inch fresh turmeric ()
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 Persian cucumber
  • water (the amount depends on the final consistency desired)
  1. Put in Nutribullet and mix until solids are liquefied

  2. Put in bowl and top with 1 tablespoon chia seeds and a handful of nuts

  3. Enjoy
